Jay-Cast News #6 – Officially DOOMed Again
In our 6th issue, we dive into our latest DOOMed group-only giveaway for our members to dive into. Also, what the heck happened last week?
AAAH, BIG GAMES EVERY 2 WEEKS
We received a shipment of games from our wonderful donator staff member Skalinger. We received a really healthy amount of games, games of which you guys may be interested in.
We understand that you guys can’t go long without a giveaway, so we’ve upped the ante with a special trick up our sleeve. If we keep up our member growth, we’ll have a AAA game given away every two weeks. You guys sure would love some more of what we’ve given so far, so we’ll keep it coming if you help us out. We’re pretty darn close to 2,000 members, so we’ll showcase what we mean by then.
However, we DO have a DOOM giveaway happening now for our Jay-Cast Steam Group members only. You can check it out in our classic “Jay’s Giveaways” section below.
One last thing, though; we have a giveaway poll happening as well, determining what game we’ll give away at 2,000 members. We’ve already posted it in our Steam Group and Discord, so we might as well post it here for good measure.
WHAT HAPPENED LAST WEEK?
Extremely rarely, I may end up not being able to post up an issue of Jay-Cast News. When this happens, it’s either that nothing interesting happened, personal reasons, or website maintenance forced me to postpone it.
We had an issue of Jay-Cast News being ready for last week, but it couldn’t be finished due to multiple things ending up not happening. A big thing was planned to be talked about, but I couldn’t get the info I needed on time. I didn’t even get a response back, but I’m assuming it was because of multiple reasons that I wasn’t told about. Whatever the case, I’m still working on it.
This will also seem out of left field, but my usual issue of Jstar’s Chronicles has also been delayed to tomorrow. I’ve recently gotten sick and wasn’t able to work on it lately. Rest assured, however, that our next newsletter will be a larger issue than normal. I go all out with gaming news as I’ve had more time to work with, as well as a blown-out review of a game recently received… You may recognize it judging by my love of the Nintendo Switch, as well as some recent content released over at our YouTube Channel. Speaking of…
LOTS OF NEW VIDEOS IN ACTION
I recently decided to just take a day and focus on games that I’ve recently received and/or bought. The developers of de Blog (THQ Nordic) and Brawlout (Angry Mob Games) sent me a key for their games, and I knew that I had to check them out!
As for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I simply couldn’t miss out on this game for the Nintendo Switch. I had to get it as soon as I could, knowing how often I’ll be on this game. This does mean that Breath of the Wild will be on a slight hiatus until I get bored of Mario Kart, which hopefully happens soon for the people that cared about that play through. To make up for it, be on the lookout for commentated and un-commentated gameplay videos of the game.
Also, Tee B was able to send in some support with his all-mighty TITAN Xp! Featuring some good-looking content, he was able to go all out in quality from his beast of a graphics card. More videos are on the way, so make sure to subscribe to our channel if you haven’t already done so.
Always get the latest giveaways at our official Giveaways page and here, as well as an area to type in our weekly point codes.
As of May 14th, 2017:
Point Code of the Week: DOOMEDFOREVER6 (Worth 25 Points, 50 Members Can Use It, Expires Friday.)
There’s no “Jay’s Recap” this week due to not being able to post up an issue of Jstar’s Chronicles into tomorrow. Rest assured that it’ll be happening tomorrow for sure! Thanks for understanding.
Next week, I’ll try to really go all out with a smash hit of a newsletter. I usually say this when I wrote one that I wasn’t ultra happy with… Yeah. Either way, expect a REALLY big installment of Jay-Cast News the next time one releases. I finally got some extra free time for the next week, so stay tuned. I may even send a website update! Until then, thanks for sticking with us so far, and I’ll see you tomorrow!
