In our 15th Jay-Cast newsletter, I dive into our brand new sponsorship, along with our new eSports division, a new moderator, and some more gameplay!
INTRODUCING OUR NEW ESPORTS DIVISION
With the inspiration of our recent sponsorship (talked about below), I figured that it’d be a good time as ever to introduce our newest division… we’re beginning to put some effort towards jumping into the rapidly growing eSports industry, and we want you to join the ride.
Join our Jay-Cast eSport Team(s)! Official form coming soon, contact us if you’re interested for now.
We’re looking for people competitively good in the following:
- Counter Strike: Global Offensive
- DOTA 2
- Splatoon 2 (Coming Soon)
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Team Fortress 2
- Rainbow Six: Siege
- Rocket League
- League of Legends
- Heroes of the Storm
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Send us (or me) your competitive rank, followed by any other important statistics you would also want to show us. The games shown above do not confirm that we will be having official teams under them; we are simply having our options open, and are willing to officially partner with other teams to promote them. Having an official team under Jay-Cast would improve our publicity efforts, and we’d love to have official supporters as well. We’ll have donation pools open up for specific teams in case people would want to do that.
As if it’s meant to be, we explain some more exciting news as if it’s a part two…
NEW SPONSORSHIP WITH TEAM VISION
That’s right! We’re having our first ever sponsorship to a video game competitive eSports team! Starring one of our own moderators, We’re sponsoring Team Vision in the upcoming Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ‘Disillusion Cup’.
To commemorate this, we now officially have some announcements related to eSports:
- There is now an official #eSports text channel at our Discord Server. People that are officially under us and/or are partnered/sponsored with us are allowed to communicate and read messages posted there. You can join our Discord Server here, and PM me (Jstar269) to get access to it.
- Introducing our newest website page: eSports! It’ll be the greatest page for the latest information on our efforts in the eSports industry! Click here to check it out.
- We now have a new Group and Forum specifically for eSports communication. Unlike the text channel, anyone can join this groups and post about eSports related stuff. If enough interest is shown, we can also provide an official eSports group/forum for eSports-only people. Here’s the group, and here’s the forum.
If you have any other suggestions to give, like what games to support, whether you want to join, or anything else, please do not hesitate to let me know. I think this is extremely exciting as Jay-Cast enters another venture, and we’d love to get our name out there in an even better light!
NEW VIDEOS, WOOT!
(Note: To avoid spoilers, I only posted the first of the episodes released in the past week for Battlefield Hardline. You can check out the rest of the finished story through our YouTube channel!)
We’ve posted up nothing but live streams in the past week, starring some more Walking Dead, Battlefield Hardline, and a whopping four(!) hours of the Splatoon 2 Splatfest World Premiere! A total of over 10 hours of gameplay was released, so you might want to check it all out soon. We’ve got another game to be live streamed by TacticalTracer soon, so be on the lookout for that!
NEW MODERATOR: WITCHYAUDREY
Heyo! Another staff member is recruited into our growing team of active people! Meet WitchyAudrey, an 18-year-old that will now become one of our weekly article writers, as well as a learning translator!
Witchy was inducted recently, so there isn’t a lot I can say at the moment, but that’s sure to change as the next few days and weeks roll by as we get to know more about him through his weekly articles. Woot!
Always get the latest giveaways at our official Giveaways page and here, as well as an area to type in our weekly point codes.
As of Monday, July 17th, 2017:
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Ends July 21st)
Points Code of the Week: WITCHYAWW15 (25 Points, First 50 People Can Use It, Expires Sunday)
Next week… well, this section is beginning to get useless. I always leave an extremely vague cliffhanger here. This week is no different as we begin our journey into the world of eSports-mon! What awaits us there? Find out next week as we begin to get finalized teams, and possibly some attached gameplay! I’ll see you there, Jay-Casters.
