Hey, everyone. Over the past few weeks, it’s become obvious that Jay-Cast has kind of been a little slow when it came to releasing content. The last post created was on January 1st about a new year, and then nothing. I’d like to be transparent about this.
As many of you might have noticed already, RAM prices have increased steadily for a while now – that is, pretty much since the second half of 2016, or since 1-2 years ago.
Ah yes, 2018 has officially arrived! It’s time to ring in the new year the one we all should, with each other. It’s a time to become optimistic for what’s to come over the next year. 2018 is sure to be a better year than ever, and I’ll be keeping that optimism for as long as I possibly can.
My new year’s resolution is to keep improving Jay-Cast any way that I can. With our impending milestone of 5,000 Steam Group members, we’re surely going to continue growing from there, and I’m excited to know what I’ve been working on is nearing announcement-ready, and it’ll surely be something to get hyped about. I won’t hint at it just yet, but all I’ll say is to Stay Tuned for more information… 🙂
I’ll try my hardest to write up an issue of Jstar’s Chronicles that looks back at 2017 for me and all of Jay-Cast, along with some New Year’s Resolutions that our community wrote up earlier by the end of January 1st (which is now today for me and everyone on my coast). I’ll also try to get the results of the Jay-Cast Game Awards 2017 completed and revealed sometime over the next few days. Until then, I hope everyone continues to enjoy the rest of their holiday season, and I hope to fully be on-track over the next few weeks.
I hope everyone had a fantastic 2017, and here’s to an even better 2018! Cheers!
Whatever you celebrate, it’s time to do a little look-back as the calm-before-the-storm occurs next week.
New Android app! Giveaway rapid fire! The holidays are incoming! Game Awards! All happening here!
Hi everyone, since the Steam sales are going on and Christmas is this Monday, it might be a good idea to talk about the recent freebies that have/were going on. Everyone likes a good free game every now and then or am I wrong? No. I will try and keep this short so that everyone can go back to that Holiday cheer that is floating around.
Steam has been very generous to us in the last month with a few free games to grab. Ubisoft and GOG are also being generous with some free games to get as well including Oxenfree and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag just to name a few. Steam on the other hand, gave out Homefront, Kingdom: Classic, and the first episode of HITMAN 2016-2017 for free as the Holiday Mission Pack was re released. I will admit I’ve put sixteen hours already into HITMAN and I am not disappointed at all with it being free.
Uplay has given away three games this month. Watch_Dogs, World in Conflict, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Once you claim the game, it’s yours to keep forever on your account, just like Steam and GOG. That’s what makes these freebies the unique.
As far as I can remember, GOG has given out Grim Fandango and Oxenfree on their gaming platform. Both were able to be received within a two or three day period. But GOG is not nearly as well known as Steam or Uplay, and thus, give out some interesting indie titles.
The Steam freebies, except HITMAN, are lasting around 24 hours to grab before you have to buy it. The Uplay freebies are lasting a week, which is a smart idea on their part. GOG’s giveaways last around two to three days. Anyways, have a wonderful Christmas this Monday and be happy with what you have around you. Cheers!
